Understanding myself, relating to others, and life around me are my inspirations,
and the emphasis of my body of work. My art gives a minimal amount of information, and is stylized to create
a genuine feeling for nature, humanity, and balance.
If the tactile nature of my sculpture initiates a desire to touch and feel the textures, then I have accomplished at least one of my goals. Another goal is to create a space for the viewer that invokes a personal relationship with the sculpture and to engage in a thought process.
Most importantly if my sculpture creates an emotional response and pushes the boundaries that affects a person's inner core, and causes the viewer to stop, reflect and walk away understanding the connection then the body of work has been successful.
